Good communicators are good facilitators. 🗣️ The next time you are preparing for an interaction, reflect on which role you want to play based on The Ask/Tell Matrix. Asking means understanding others through questions and exploring thoughts. Telling involves convincing by sharing your own views and reasons. Toxic positivity is the assumption that despite a person’s emotional pain and turmoil, they should only have a positive mindset. When we pretend that emotional pain doesn’t exist, we send a message to our brain that whatever the emotion is, it is in some way bad or dangerous. If our brain believes we are in a dangerous situation, our body will respond as such. By overdoing positive affirmations, we may be invalidating our or others’ feelings and harming them when they are already in a vulnerable state. The best way to deal with negative emotions is to let yourself feel the emotions you’re feeling and let them pass, not push them under the rug.
- ↗Why Kindness at Work Pays Off
Whether you’re just entering the workforce, starting a new job, or transitioning into people management, kindness can be a valuable attribute that speaks volumes about your character, commitment, and long-term value. Here are a few simple routines you can integrate into your everyday work life that will spread kindness and help create a culture of kindness at your organization. Practice radical self-care. The best way to be a valuable, thoughtful team member is to be disciplined about your own wellness — your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Do your job. Start with the basics by showing up on time and doing your job to the best of your ability. This is where your self-care practice comes into play — you can’t do your best work without taking care of yourself first. Reach out to others with intention. Make plans to meet virtually or, even better, in person with your colleagues. Ask about their pets, their recent move, or their family. Most importantly, practice active listening. Recognize and acknowledge people. Authentic, thoughtful interactions show that you’re thinking about the other person and reflecting on their unique attributes and value, which can cement social connections. Be conscientious with your feedback. Being kind means offering feedback for the betterment of the person receiving it and the overall success of your company.

🚀 Unlocking Salesforce Flow Efficiency: Harness the Power of the IN Operator! 🚀 🌟 One key aspect of flow building that was emphasized over and over again from Daryl Moon’s Flows course from CertifyCRM is to NEVER to use DML statements inside a loop! 💠 In other words - there should never be a pink box inside the circle!! The main reason being that our flow can quickly exceed governor limits and throw errors. 😠 💠However, by using the IN (and conversely NOT IN) operator with the Get Records element, we can obtain a list of related records (accounts, contacts, etc.) from a record collection variable inside the loop without using the Get records element inside the loop. Thus obtaining the same information with no risk of exceeding governor limits! 💪 💠By utilizing the IN operator, you can retrieve multiple records in a single query, drastically reducing the number of API calls and enhancing performance. 🚀 Here’s the key takeaway: 🔑 Instead of querying within each loop iteration, gather the record IDs in a collection variable. 🔑 Then, use the IN operator in a single “Get Records” element to fetch all relevant records at once. A potential use case would be curating a list of contacts from high value accounts to add them to a marketing campaign. 💼💡 Exploring the world of flows has been both challenging and rewarding, but let’s face it – nothing is better than building a really cool looking flow that works! 🙌 #Salesforce #CertifyCRM #FlowAutomation #SalesforceTraining #ProfessionalDevelopment | 12 comments on LinkedIn
